Harvard ("Fargo," "There Will Be Blood," "The Hammer"), who is an Austin-based actor, won the Theatre World Award and Drama League Award for his performance in the Off-Broadway production in which he played a young deaf man who was never taught sign language, but has learned to adapt to life by reading lips.

Harvard also repeated his performance in the Los Angeles transfer of the production.

Tribes received the Drama Desk Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Play and the Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Play. It also received an Olivier Award nomination for its 2010 London debut.

Set to run Jan. 27-Feb. 28, 2016, Tribes will be staged on Zach Theatre's three-quarter Kleberg Stage.

Here's how it's billed: "As the only deaf member of his sharp-tongued British family, sweet-natured Billy has spent much of his life feeling out of place. But when he meets a young woman on the brink of deafness, he finds out what it means to belong for the first time. This provocative and touching play is as much about the tyranny of language, as it is about the challenge of not being able to hear it."
