Stars in the Alley," Broadway's annual live concert featuring current Broadway performers, is scheduled for 11:30 AM on May 29.

Held in Shubert Alley between 44th and 45th Streets, the 50-minute concert will include appearances by Kathleen Turner, who is currently headlining The Graduate; John Stamos, who recently took over the role of the Emcee in the Roundabout's Cabaret revival; John Lithgow, who received a Tony nomination for his work in Sweet Smell of Success; Julie Hagerty, who co-stars in the revival of Morning's at Seven; and Steven Weber, who recently joined the cast of Mel Brooks' The Producers.

Others who will take part in the concert that marks the end of the 2001 2002 theatre season include Cabaret's Polly Bergen, Chicago's George Hamilton, The Elephant Man's Kate Burton, Oklahoma!'s Patrick Wilson, Thoroughly Modern Millie's Sutton Foster and The Phantom of the Opera's Howard McGillin. Stars from currently running Broadway plays — Proof, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Noises Off, The Goat, Topdog/Underdog, The Elephant Man, Q.E.D. and Metamorphoses — will also be on hand to introduce the musical numbers.

Produced by the League of American Theatres and Producers, this year's event will include two award presentations. The annual Star Award will be given to the NYPD and FDNY, and the Continental Airlines Rising Star Award will be bestowed upon LaGuardia High School students.
