The New Jersey Shakespeare Festival (NJSF) continue their "Rock Thy Brain" season with Shakespeare’s ode to love, Twelfth Night, at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison. There are two preview performances July 11 and 12; regular performances continue through July 30.

Unique about the July 11 show is the “Name Your Price” ticket deal. Similar to deals used for airline tickets and groceries, the NJSF will offer theatregoers the opportunity to name their own price when purchasing tickets. To utilize the deal, audience members must purchase their tickets in person at the box office between noon and 7:45 and mention the “Pay What You Wish Night” promotion. More “Name Your Price” deals will be available for other previews of the upcoming shows.

The play follows the journeys of Viola, the love-sick Count Orsino, and the drunken Sir Toby Belch. Joseph Discher directs. The cast includes Tom Delling as Orsino, Lauren Lovett as Viola, James Michael Reilly as Feste, Edmond Genest as Malvolio, and Kevin Henderson as Sebastian. The set design was done by Troy Hourie. Costumes were done by Isabel Rubio. Bill Berner did the lighting design.

The NJSF opened the Rock Thy Brain season with The Forest. Rhinoceros, by Eugene Ionesco plays, August 8-27. Shakespeare’s Anthony and Cleopatra (featuring Robert Cuccioli) runs Sept. 5-30, followed by Othello (starring Joe Morton) Oct. 24-Nov. 19. The season concludes with Maurice Maeterlinck’s The Blue Bird.
