News Two Contestants Eliminated from "American Idol"; Top Seven Now Remain Because the four "American Idol" judges — Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi — opted to use the once-a-season "save" April 7 for contestant Michael Lynche, two finalists were eliminated on the April 14 broadcast: Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens.

For this week's competition, last year's "American Idol" runner-up, Adam Lambert, mentored the finalists, who performed Elvis Presley tunes on the April 13 broadcast. The seven contestants who are currently vying for the "America Idol" title are Aaron Kelly, Casey James, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus and Tim Urban.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young (both back on Broadway in Hair), Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis (on Broadway in Rock of Ages), Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks (currently in the national tour of Grease).
