LOS ANGELES -- John Bishop now has two plays running simultaneously in Los Angeles: The Great, Great Grandson of Jedediah Kohler and The Trip Back Down. The former opened Oct. 17 at 2100 Square Feet, the latter Oct. 30 at Angels Theatre.

Trip has been described by a company spokesperson as a play about "once-great race car driver Bobby Horvath who...has decided to throw in the towel and return home. This particular homecoming, however, proves more perilous than any near-missed crash-and-burn race on the circuit as he's forced to face up to his past."

Directed by Lee Magnuson and produced by the Company of Angels, The Trip Back Home features Loanne Bishop, Barbara Ann Rush, Rob Elk, Michael Erger, Susan Foster, Terry Giles, Horace Martin, Danny Naten, Michael Riney, Larissa D. Skewers, Tom Slovick, Don Oscar Smith, Michael Taylor, Pamela Walker and Bernie Van De Yacht.

Through Dec. 19. Call (323) 660-8587.
