Speakers will include Connecticut governor M. Jodi Rell, congresswoman Nancy L. Johnson, and actress Mia Farrow.

Henderson, a former saloon pianist and television bandleader, founded the New York Pops in 1983. He lived in New Milford for the last three decades of his life, and he and his wife Ruth ran a store, art gallery, and cooking school there. He died on November 1, 2005.
According to the Pops, another tribute to Henderson is scheduled at Carnegie Hall on February 6 at 4 p.m. Details have not yet been announced.
