News U.K. Concert Tour of Rent Stars Natasha Hamilton and Rory Taylor; Kerry Ellis to Join Cast A 20th anniversary concert staging of Jonathan Larson's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent is playing a 16-engagement U.K. tour. Natasha Hamilton and Rory Taylor star.

Hamilton, of the pop troupe Atomic Kitten, stars as Maureen with Rory Taylor as Roger. Taylor was the runner-up of ITV's "Superstar" search for an actor to play the lead in Jesus Christ Superstar.

The cast also includes Rachel John (Mimi), Paul Ayres (Mark), Hannah Levene (Joanne), Ian Stroughair (Angel), Leon Lopez (Collins) and Neil Moors (Benny), as well as Neil Moors, Tim Prottey Jones, Joel Harper-Jackson, David Hinton-Gale, Beth Humphries and Katie Bernstein.

In January Wicked star Kerry Ellis will join the cast as Maureen.

The tour began performances at Blackpool's Opera House Nov. 11, and continues to Nottingham's Concert Hall, Hull's New Theatre, London's Wimbledon Theatre, Oxford's New Theatre, Edinburgh's King's Theatre, Glasgow's SECC, Sheffield's Lyceum, Dublin's Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Torquay's Princess Theatre, Bristol's Hippodrome, Bradford's St. George's Hall, Newcastle's Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre, Manchester's Palace Theatre and Liverpool's Echo Arena.

Taylor, who reprises the role of Roger that he previously played, commented, "I had the most amazing time on tour with Rent in April and I am so excited that the public want more! I can’t wait to get back on the road and play the role of Roger again." He is also lead singer in a band called 54321, who are resident in The Cavern Club, Liverpool and have supported Mel C, Westlife and McFly on major arena tours.
