UPDATE OFF-BROADWAY
Broadway's '95-'96 groundbreaking successes changed the face of theatre, while begging for old-fashioned parody. Having skewered film for the past year, Forbidden Hollywood's sly wit, author Gerard Alessandrini, returns to his home turf with an all-new edition of his classic series of theatrical send-up revues, Forbidden Broadway.

Set to open Tuesday, October 8, at New York's Triad Theatre, this highly-anticipated revue promises knowing jests at the expense of Rent and Bring in 'Da Noise... Divas from Julie Andrew to Patti LuPone are sitting targets. The creators may even draw humor from Disney's ever-increasing presence on the legit theatre scene.

Forbidden Broadway begins previews on Sept. 5. The Triad Theatre is located at 158 West 72nd Street. Tickets and information are available by calling (212) 799-4599.
