Peter Bennett directs a cast that includes Dan Domingues, John FitzGibbon, Guenia Lemos and Liz Zazzi.
According to NJ Rep notes, "There's more duplicity than meets the eye as lives hang in the balance in this serio-comic murder mystery set in an isolated upstate New York border town. Love and Murder follows the lives of Dr. Tuttle (FitzGibbon), the most prominent member of a community still stuck in the 1950s, and that of his wife, Tex (Zazzi), an aspiring singer. Their relationship appears to be stable on the surface but dark passions and frustrations seethe beneath, ready to be unleashed at any moment. The catalysts for the inevitable crisis are Helen (Lemos), the couple's illegal South American maid, for whom Tuttle harbors a repressed desire, and Blackie (Domingues), a Cree Indian policeman with a dark past."
Playwright and educator Giron penned Edith Stein; Becoming Memories (Los Angeles Critics' Drama Logue Award); The Coffee Trees, inspired by The Cherry Orchard; Memories of Our Women, about second generation Latinos; and The Golden Guitar, a bilingual opera commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera Guild. He is a founding member of The Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York. Flight, his play about the Wright Brothers when they were children, recently completed a national tour of 120 cities.
