News Urban Cowboy's Colella and "Dell Dude" to Be Part of Gay Sex Reading Jenn Colella, who co-starred in the short-lived musical Urban Cowboy, and Ben Curtis — of "Dude, you're getting a Dell" fame — will take part in a reading of a new comedy, The Joy of Gay Sex.

On Aug. 16 at 7 PM, Colella and Curtis will be joined by Paul Tena, Christopher Sloan, Cherise Boothe, Duane Boutte, Jeff Fierson, John Lloyd Young and Elizabeth Harper for the one-night-only reading of John Fisher's romantic comedy. Scott Nevins will be the evening's narrator with direction by Ben Rimalower. Rimalower recently helmed the all-star Snoopy! benefit concert featuring Sutton and Hunter Foster. The Joy of Gay Sex premiered a decade ago in San Francisco and will make its New York premiere this winter. About the West Coast production, the San Francisco Examiner said at the time: "[The Joy of Gay Sex] is a quick-witted, lighthearted, two-hour romp through two intertwined tales of love among the students. Boy meets boy (meets boy) and girl meets girl amid a hail of sharp one-liners about political and aesthetic correctness."

The reading will be held at the Manhattan Theatre Club, 311 West 43rd Street, on the 8th Floor. Those interested in attending should e-mail director Rimalower at [email protected].
