News Urban Stages to Offer Free Readings of Bulrusher, Roses in December and The Sweepers In honor of its 25th anniversary season, Urban Stages will present free readings of six works that received their premieres at the Off-Broadway company.

The retrospective will play Monday nights at 6 PM March 9-April 20.

The first reading will be Chungmi Kim's Comfort Women, under the direction of Urban Stages artistic director Frances Hill (March 9). Original cast members Tina Chen, Jade Wu, Jo Yang and Jessica J. Ko will perform.

Tony Award winner James Naughton will appear in Victor Cahn's Roses in December (March 16); Felix Pire will reprise his work in Guillermo Reyes' one-man play, Men on the Verge of a Hispanic Breakdown (March 23).

Original cast members Brigitte Vielleau Davis, Antoinette La Vecchia and Dana Smith will return for John Picardi's comedy The Sweepers, under the direction of Frances Hill (March 30); and Lou Jacobs will direct Drama Desk winner Paul Sparks in Bruce Graham's Coyote on a Fence (April 13).

Passing Strange actress Eisa Davis will close the retrospective with her Pulitzer Prize-nominated solo work Bulrusher (April 20). For reservations to the free readings, phone (212) 421-1380.
