News U.S. Premiere of Ride Opens Off-Broadway Jan. 21 Jane Bodie's two-hander Ride, starring Jeremy Waters and Melissa Chambers, opens Off-Broadway Jan. 21.

Presented as part of the citywide "G'day USA Festival" of Australian Arts and Culture, the U.S. premiere of Ride began performances Jan. 14 and will play a limited engagement through Feb. 8 at 59E59 Theaters.

Nick Flint directs Waters and Chambers in the work, which is described as such: "A man and a woman wake up in bed together and neither can remember how they got there. Or who the other is. In the harsh light of the morning after, they attempt to make sense of what may or may not have happened between them and a complex snapshot of modern relationships gradually comes into focus. Ride charts the difficulties of achieving real intimacy in our sexually liberated times."

Ride has set design by James Hunting and lighting design by Cory Pattak.

Bodie's plays include Face2Face, Fourplay, Hilt, One Night One, Out of Me, A Single Act, Speaking in Thongs and Still. Fox Theatricals has optioned the film rights to Ride.
