The Vagina Monologues, at the Arts Theatre, is to close on Feb. 23 February. Very much a girls' show, the play took to offering free seats on Monday nights for men, in an attempt to entice the opposite sex into the theatre.
The Monolgues, which transferred to the arts from the New Ambassadors, has kept fresh through frequent cast changes, and as an opportunity to appear on stage in a feminist play has attracted a wide range of actresses. The current cast comprises Caprice, Helen Lederer, and Gina Yashere.
