Making a radical change from the Last Night of the Proms, the Royal Albert Hall is to play host to a gala performance of The Vagina Monologues on April 5.
Casting has yet to be finalized for the gala event, though given the nature of the event and the celebrity casts that the show has continued to attract at the various venues it has played at, it is likely to feature some major stars.
The Royal Albert Hall is best known for classical recitals, choral works, the Royal British Legion's Remembrance Day service and, of course, the Last Night of the Proms, with audiences belting out Land of Hope and Glory. A night of The Vagina Monologues, even with the anticipated musical interludes, will certainly be a change of mood for the ushers.
