Valentino, a musical biography of silent film star Rudolph Valentino, will get a developmental showcase production Apr. 30 to May 17 at the Judith Anderson Theatre on New York's Theatre Row. Conceived by Charles Mandracchia, the show features music by Mandracchia, book and lyrics by Mandracchia and Francesca DeJosia. DeJosia also directs.

The Italian-born Valentino became one of the great romantic icons of the 1920s in films including The Sheik and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. He died at age 31 in 1926 at the height of his fame, reportedly prompting suicides among some of his female fans.

The Valentino showcase features Kevin Kraft, Jonathan Stewart, Chirstine Brooks and Maurizio Corbino.

Tickets cost $12. For tickets or information: (212) 462-9100.
