PlayBlog Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones Visit "The View" (Video) Tony and Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave and two-time Tony winner James Earl Jones drove over to "The View" Nov. 18 to talk about their work in the Broadway production of Alfred Uhry's Driving Miss Daisy.

Redgrave (Long Day's Journey Into Night, "Julia") plays Daisy Werthan, an older Southern Jewish woman, and Jones (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Fences, "Star Wars") plays Hoke, the black cheuffeur hired to drive her. The play examines the friendship that develops between the two as the Civil Rights era progresses.
