Vanessa Williams, who was Tony-nominated for her performance as the Witch in the revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods, will make her Broadway Up Close concert series debut at The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia January 21.

The 8 PM performance also features actor, musician, Playbill.com columnist, and SiriusXM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host. What differentiates this concert series from others is the “seamless mix of intimate behind-the-scenes stories from Broadway’s biggest stars—prompted by the encyclopedic-minded Rudetsky’s probing, funny, revealing questions—and their stellar singing of musical theatre repertoire,” according to press notes.

Williams' Broadway credits also include Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sondheim on Sondheim, The Trip to Bountiful, and After Midnight as well as the City Center Encores! production of St. Louis Woman.

The series will continue with two Broadway favorites, Tony winner Alice Ripley (May 6) and two-time Tony winner Chita Rivera (June 3).
