With some hot new choreographers to back them up, Fosse's Ben Vereen and The Rocky Horror Show's Tony nominee Tom Hewitt are going to "Destination: Groove May 21." The Limelight benefit performance raises money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The contemporary dance show seeks to combine the sensibilities of MTV with the artistic merits of PBS. Broadway's A.C. Ciulla of Footloose will stage numbers alongside acclaimed African-American choreographer Donald Byrd, swing dance champion and former Swing! cast member Robert Royston and Michael Jackson's choreographic team Glenn & Brian.
Tickets are $25 with a party to follow the 8 PM show. Destination: Groove will be held at The LImelight, 47 West 20th Street. For reservations, call (212) 840-0770.
