News Victoria Clark, Rebecca Luker and Judy Blazer Perform Blumenkrantz Songs Feb. 13 Several theatre favorites will take part in The Jeff Blumenkrantz Songbook Concert Feb. 13 at Birdland. The 7 PM evening at the famed jazz club will feature tunes from Blumenkrantz’s newly published songbook.

Those scheduled to interpret the songs of the composer-lyricist include Tony Award winner Victoria Clark as well as Judy Blazer, Rebecca Luker, Ryan Perry, Sally Wilfert and Blumenkrantz himself. Jeff Blumenkrantz received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for the songs he contributed to Urban Cowboy, The Musical. He contributed a song to Audra McDonald's "Seven Deadly Sins" concert at Carnegie Hall as well as a tune to the Transport Group's production of The Audience. His songs have been performed by McDonald, Megan Mullally and Judy Kuhn. As an actor, Blumenkrantz appeared in the Broadway productions of Into the Woods, 3 Penny Opera, Damn Yankees, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and A Class Act.

Blumenkrantz’s website, located at www.jeffblumenkrantz.com, currently offers vocals by Judy Blazer (“It’ll Work for You”), Victoria Clark (“I Won’t Mind”), Sally Wilfert (“I’m Free”) and Blumenkrantz himself (“Hold My Hand” and “Moving Right Along,” the latter performed with Ryan Perry).
