The new website exhibition "Two Tragedies: Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Macbeth" offers a preview of the Scottish play, as well as the full-length "Great Performances" presentation of Hamlet. Stewart starred in the title role of Macbeth and is featured as Claudius in Hamlet.
The exhibition provides theatre lovers a behind the scenes film about the making of Hamlet, including interviews with Stewart and a staged trail of Hamlet (boasting Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy) that incorporated evidence from the play.
Stewart earned a Tony Award nomination for Macbeth, in which he co-starred with fellow Tony nominee Kate Fleetwood. Much of the Broadway cast repeats their work for the PBS presentation.
