News View From the Bridge Recoups Investment The current revival of Arthur Miller's A View From the Bridge has recouped its initial investment of $2.5 million, according to Variety.

A View From the Bridge stars Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber.

The first ten weeks of the 14-week run have brought in about $7.2 million, states the industry paper.

The drama, which stars Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson, will end April 4 as originally planned. Previews of Bridge, featuring direction by Gregory Mosher, began Dec. 28, 2009; opening night was Jan. 24, 2010.

The cast also features Jessica Hecht, Michael Cristofer, Morgan Spector, Corey Stoll, Alex Cendese, Anthony DeSando, Antoinette LaVecchia, Matthew Montelongo, Mark Morettini, Joe Ricci, Robert Turano and Marco Verna.

In A View from the Bridge, press notes state, "Schreiber plays Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine, played by Scarlett Johansson. When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant, Eddie's jealousy erupts in a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world."

The play is produced by Stuart Thompson and The Araca Group. Additional producers include Jeffrey Finn, Broadway Across America, Olympus Theatricals, Marisa Sechrest, The Weinstein Company, Jon B. Platt, Sonia Friedman/Robert G. Bartner, Swinsky/Deitch, Adam Zotovich/Ruth Hendel/Orin Wolf, and The Shubert Organization.
