Directed by Walter Bobbie, The Landing has a book and lyrics by Greg Pierce and music by John Kander. Performances will begin in October.

"The Landing consists of three thematically-connected tales of desire, love, and loss, and is the first collaboration between legendary theatre composer John Kander and playwright Greg Pierce," press notes state.

The season will also include the New York premiere of the musical Arlington, by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen, which follows Sara Jane, a young wife who struggles when her husband is away at war. Performances begin in February 2014.

The world premiere of Nicky Silver's Too Much Sun will also be featured at the Vineyard. Directed by Mark Brokaw, Too Much Sun will begin performances in May 2014.

"In Too Much Sun, Audrey Langham, a celebrated actress, unravels completely while preparing for a new production of Medea, and with nowhere else to go, she descends upon her married daughter for a summer by the sea," press notes state. "Her arrival sets off a chain of events alternately hilarious and harrowing."
