News VINTAGE PLAYBILL: The Winslow Boy, 1947 The Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Winslow Boy, starring Roger Rees and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, officially opens on Broadway Oct. 17. To celebrate the opening, the Playbill Vault highlights a vintage Playbill, dated Nov. 3, 1947, from the original run of Terence Rattigan's play.

The Winslow Boy premiered on Broadway at the now-demolished Empire Theatre on Oct. 29, 1947. The cast featured Frank Allenby as Sir Robert Morton, Alan Webb as Arthur Winslow and Valerie White as Catherine Winslow.
