The final production of Trinity Rep's 1997-98 season, Paula Vogel's How I Learned To Drive opens at the theatre May 20. Molly Smith, a frequent collaborator with Vogel, directs Anne Scurria and Tim Crowe in the lead roles. The production plays through June 28. Awards keep accruing for the author of this tragicomic story of a young girl's unhealthy relationship with her alcoholic uncle, including Trinity Rep's own Pell Award for outstanding contribution to the arts by a Rhode Island resident. The play recently finished its run Off-Broadway at the Century Center Theatre in a Vineyard Theatre production.
