SAN DIEGO -- Casting for Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning How I Learned to Drive has been announced by the San Diego Repertory, which will unveil the show Nov. 6 for a 3-week run.

Jennifer Parsons, seen recently in Our Town at South Coast Rep in Costa Mesa, will play Li'l Bit, a woman depicted from the ages of eleven to forty. Lawrence Hecht will play Uncle Peck, the family member who seduces her. Bill Dunnam will play the Male Greek Chorus as well as Li'l Bit's grandfather Big Papa. Linda Libby will play the Female Greek Chorus and Li'l Bit's mother.

Sam Woodhouse, artistic director of the San Diego Rep, will direct the production. "Sometimes I choose a play for our audience because it has something crucial to say about the way we live our contemporary lives, sometimes I choose a play because it fills me with wonder when I read it, and sometimes it is just simply a perfect piece of theatre. How I Learned to Drive is all three."
