The New Haven stage presents its production in association with Providence, Rhode Island's Trinity Repertory Company — where the work had its world premiere. The play is set to open at Long Wharf's C. Newton Schenk Mainstage, Jan. 21, 2004.
Vogel's latest drama centers on a family whose car spins out of control on an icy road following a Christmas dinner gone awry. The work features Bunraku-inspired puppets designed by Basil Twist.
Trinity Rep artistic director Oskar Eustis directs the new staging with a cast that includes Chelsea Altman, Angela Brazil,Timothy Crowe, Julio Monge, Anne Scurria and Stephen Thorne.
Vogel's other works include 1998 Pulitzer Prize-winning play How I Learned To Drive as well as The Baltimore Waltz, Desdemona and The Mineola Twins.
