Playwright Francine Volpe will see her play, Stars, given a workshop production at Off-Broadway's Soho Rep, March 7-10. Linsay Firman, an associate of the Downtown theatre, will direct. Stars uses a true case of teenage sexual brutality to examine the "subtle violence present in all relationships." Volpe was part of Soho Rep's 1999-2000 Playwriting Lab. Stars will run for four performances.
