Starring in the production, which was first brought to Hollywood Playhouse by Academy Award-winning actress Kim Hunter, are local veteran actors, Iris Acker and Beth Holland, along with Bruce Yoskin and Joe Kimble (of the comedy improv troupe Separate Checks). Hollywood Playhouse artistic director Andy Rogow helms the show.

The story involves a journalist, Tom Lomax, who is pulled into an insular world of blackmail and deception at a top New York art gallery.

Beholder has been adapted for the Hollywood Playhouse by South Florida playwright Tony Finstrom. Production sources indicate that Finstrom "worked directly with Wallach's agent in an effort to maintain Wallach's standard and tone."

Tickets are $24.50. For reservations or more information call (954) 922 0404. --Murdoch McBride
