Directed by Tony winner James Naughton, David Epstein's play will run through Aug. 5 with an official opening scheduled for July 18. The starry company features Bruce Altman as Andrew, Larry Bryggman as Hank, James Colby as Eddie, Cady Huffman as Terri, Marisa Echeverría as Magdalena, Lois Smith as Princess and Mark J. Sullivan as Rob.

Surface to Air, according to press notes, "is the story of a family forced to confront long-repressed issues and current realities when the remains of their son, a Vietnam veteran, are returned to them 30 years after his plane was shot down over Vietnam."

The design team comprises James Noone (sets), Laurie Churba (costumes), Clifton Taylor (lighting) and Ray Schilke (sound).

In a recent interview with Playbill.com, Tony winner Huffman spoke about the play and her role. "I play Terri, the sister," Huffman said. "I'm a big Hollywood executive, and I've come home from Los Angeles with my husband, who is an independent documentary maker, and we're waiting for my brother Rob's remains to be sent home from Vietnam — 30 years later. I was 12 when he died, so basically we're just waiting for him to be returned to us. It's sort of the dynamics of family in these exceptional situations. My thing is [that] I'm this very powerful person who, when I get home, can just revert to being 12. We all know how that is," she laughed.

Cady Huffman received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for her performance in The Producers. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies, Steel Pier, Big Deal, La Cage aux Folles and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour. Huffman has been seen on screen in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "One Life to Live," "Sunday on the Rocks," "Hero," "Space Marines," "Itty Bitty Titty Committee” and "Romance & Cigarettes." Huffman was most recently seen onstage in All About Us at the Wesport Country Playhouse. Lois Smith won a Lucille Lortel Award for The Trip to Bountiful at the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway. Her Broadway credits include Buried Child (Tony nomination), The Grapes of Wrath (Tony nomination), The Young and Beautiful and the original Orpheus Descending. Her film credits include "East of Eden," "Five Easy Pieces," "Falling Down," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "How to Make an American Quilt," "Dead Man Walking," "Larger Than Life," "Minority Report" and "Twister."

Show times are Tuesdays at 7 PM, Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM.

Tickets, priced $36-$45, are available by calling (212) 864-5400 or by visiting www.symphonyspace.org. Symphony Space is located at Broadway and 95th Street.
