On March 28, Broadway vet Javier Muñoz (Hamilton’s original Alexander Hamilton alternate) appeared on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
Muñoz comes to Bee “in a dream” and sings and dances to convince her to go to Puerto Rico. The TBS comedy news series does, in fact, travel to Puerto Rico this week to check in on the island and how they are doing post-Hurricane Maria.

Muñoz made his Broadway debut in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway outing, In the Heights, as the understudy for Usnavi and others. He later replaced Miranda in the leading role. The actor was the alternate for Miranda as Alexander Hamilton in the original cast of Hamilton and took over the role full time upon Miranda’s exit in the summer of 2016.
