Watch highlights from the world-premiere production of Jiréh Breon Holder’s Too Heavy for Your Pocket in the video above. The new play is now playing at Roundabout Theatre Company’s Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, where it has been extended through November 26.

Set in Nashville in 1961, Too Heavy For Your Pocket is a story about a group of four African-American 20-somethings whose closeness is suddenly disrupted when one of them decides to join the The Freedom Riders—but at what cost?

Margot Bordelon directs a cast made up of Eboni Flowers, Hampton Fluker, Brandon Gill, and Nneka Okafor.
