Broadway Cares Watch Jennifer Simard Unmask in Broadway's Masked Singer Season 2

The series has two more episodes being released via livestream, benefiting Broadway Cares.

Broadway's Masked Singer, an unaffiliated spin-off of the popular FOX series, revealed Tony nominee and current Company star Jennifer Simard as its first unmasked competitor. Watch her performances and the big reveal in the video above.

Premiering March 21, the series has two more episodes being released via livestream on the Broadway Cares YouTube channel with profits supporting the New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting AIDS and providing emergency assistance to artists.

Simard performed under the guise of The Bunny, opposite competitors The Reindeer, The Sloth, and The Fox. The actor is currently starring as Sarah in the Broadway revival of Company playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Simard performed “What’ll I Do" by Irving Berlin and “Why Can’t You Behave" by Cole Porter.

“Thank you for supporting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Good on ya," Simard said before making her departure.

Hosted by Michael Hull and Dylan Bustamante, Broadway's Masked Singer has a panel that includes Season 1 winner Nic Rouleau (The Book of Mormon); Broadway veterans Jelani Remy (Ain’t Too Proud) and Ben Cameron (Wicked); Natalie Weiss (Breaking Down the Riffs); Jackie Cox (RuPaul’s Drag Race), and Felicia Fitzpatrick (Call and Response podcast).

Throughout the competition, the singers don costumes while performing anonymously. Similar to the original Masked Singer series, viewers participate by voting for their favorite performances to advance the performers to the next round. Votes are cast by donating to the nonprofit.
