Watch Laura Benanti and The Skivvies Sound Off on Phone Usage at the Theatre With a Hilarious Song! | Playbill

News Watch Laura Benanti and The Skivvies Sound Off on Phone Usage at the Theatre With a Hilarious Song! Tony-winning Broadway actress Laura Benanti has joined forces with singing duo The Skivvies to add their two cents to the controversy over cell phone use in theatres. And they do it in the way they know best: with an original song.

Benanti, who won her Tony in the Patti LuPone revival of Gypsy, clearly is commenting on a July 8 incident in which her former co-star snatched away a cell phone being used by an audience member during her play Shows for Days. LuPone is name-checked in the song, as is current Broadway hot-ticket Hamilton.

Benanti is joined by singing team The Skivvies, Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina, on the tongue-in-cheek number, titled "Look Up."

There's also a surprise twist at the end. So watch the video here:
