Video Watch Laura Osnes and Corey Cott Perform “First Step’s First” An exclusive look back at the stars’ intimate performance during the Bandstand pop-up event at SubCulture August 17.

On August 17, Bandstand stars Laura Osnes and Corey Cott took the stage at SubCulture for an exclusive pop-up event, presented by Playbill. In the newest video from the event, we look back at Osnes and Cott performing “First Step’s First” with the Donny Nova Band from the new swing musical.

Osnes, who stars as Julia Trojan in the Broadway show, is accompanied by her co-star Cott, who plays Donny Novitski, on piano, Brandon J. Ellis on bass, Joey Pero on trumpet, James Nathan Hopkin on saxophone, Geoff Packard on trombone, and Joe Carroll on percussion.

In addition to “First Step’s First,” the group performed renditions of “Ain’t We Proud” and “Love Will Come and Find Me Again.” Watch a full stream of the event and read the recap here.

As previously announced, Bandstand will play its final performance at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre September 17. At the time of its closing, the musical will have played 24 previews and 166 regular performances.
