Kathy Griffin, currently on Broadway in Kathy Griffin Wants a Tony, and Dreamgirls star Loretta Devine guest star on the episode, which features the New Directions kids singing several all-new compositions, including "Only Child," "Trouty Mouth," "Big Ass Heart," "Hell to The No," "Get It Right" and "Loser Like Me." Their regionals competitors Aural Intensity get "Jesus Is a Friend of Mine," and the Warblers perform covers of "Misery," "Blackbird," "Candles" and "Raise Your Glass."
