Watch Patti LuPone and Allison Janney Square Off on CBS' Mom | Playbill

Film & TV News Watch Patti LuPone and Allison Janney Square Off on CBS' Mom Catch the two-time Tony winner alongside Allison Janney and Anna Faris on the Emmy-winning comedy April 26.

Patti LuPone guest stars on the April 26 episode of CBS’ Mom, starring Emmy and Oscar winner Allison Janney and Anna Faris.

A two-time Tony winner, LuPone plays Rita, the new building owner of the complex Bonnie (Janney) manages. The clip above shows the two getting off to a comically rocky start.

Janney won an Oscar earlier this year for her biting portrayal of LaVona Golden in I, Tonya and has won two Emmys for her role as Bonnie. She is a two-time Tony nominee for her work in 1998’s A View From the Bridge and the musical adaptation of 9 to 5. She most recently appeared on Broadway in 2017’s revival of John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation.

LuPone most recently appeared on Broadway as Helena Rubinstein in last season’s War Paint. She earned a Tony Award for Gypsy in 2008 and Evita in 1980. While performing in concerts across the country, LuPone has been lending her voice to animated television series like BoJack Horseman and Vampirina, though she did guest in the flesh on an episode of The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend last year—where she also sang on the musical comedy series.

Mom airs Thursdays at 9PM ET on CBS.
