News Watch Rock of Ages Star Mitchell Jarvis Get "Optimistic" About His Jacques Brel Concert Rock of Ages star Mitchell Jarvis will present two concerts showcasing the work of Jacques Brel at 54 Below.

Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living Everywhere will play the midtown nightclub Jan. 22 and Feb. 4 at 9:30 PM.

"Mitchell Jarvis makes his solo concert debut with a show about a man who believes he is Jacques Brel – not a reincarnation but the man himself," press notes state. "Told entirely in Brel songs with surprising contemporary arrangements and actual Brel quotes woven throughout, it’s an examination of Love, Death and Hope. Backed by a four-piece band, Jarvis channels Brel for a new generation – living everywhere."

Jarvis created the role of Lonny in the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages and went on to take over the part of Stacee Jaxx. He has also performed on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof.
