The series about two single gay roommates navigating life and dating in L.A. is based on a play Taylor wrote for Proud of Us and Other Short Plays, an evening of the actor-playwright’s work that was staged as a benefit for The Actors Fund last fall.

Taylor and Wyse, who share writing and directing credit on the series, filmed eight episodes for the initial launch of Indoor Boys. The five-minute episodes will drop Sundays on HuffPost Queer Voices.

“We hope people will laugh a lot, and we hope they’ll see themselves in these two friends who know each other better than anyone, kinda want to date, kinda want to stay friends, kinda want to kill each other, and mostly want to have a great time,” Wyse told the Huffington Post.

Taylor told Playbill.com that there is potential for a second season, depending on the response they get from the initial roll out. Taylor teased that several New York theatre actors appear as guest stars throughout the season.

Taylor is also the co-creator of the 2014 web series It Could Be Worse, which moved to Hulu for its second season.
