20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for the new Steve McQueen drama Widows, about four women who take fate into their own hands in the wake of their husband's deaths. The new film features a screenplay by Gone Girl writer Gillian Flynn, and a cast that includes Tony and Oscar winner Viola Davis and The Color Purple Tony winner Cynthia Erivo.
Widows will be released in theatres November 16. Watch the new trailer above.
Set in modern-day Chicago, the film follows four women who, left with a debt after their dead husbands’ criminal activities, band together to pull off a major heist. The movie is inspired by Lynda La Plante's British TV series Widows.
The cast also includes Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, 2018 Tony nominee Bryan Tyree Henry, Tony nominee and 2018 Lucille Lortel Award winner Carrie Coon, André Holland, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, and Daniel Kaluuya.
