News Watch Tony Nominee Sally Mayes as Madame Rose In Gypsy (Video) Sally Mayes appears as Rose in Harbor Lights' production of Gypsy through Aug. 16. Watch footage of the cast rehearing below.

Mayes is an actress and cabaret singer. She appeared on Broadway in She Loves Me and Off-Broadway in Closer Than Ever.

Gypsy is the semi-autobiographical story of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist. The musical focuses on her mother Rose's efforts to get both of her daughters into show business. Gypsy features such songs as "Rose's Turn", "Let Me Entertain You", and "Everything's Coming Up Roses."

Notable Broadway Rose's include Ethel Merman, Angela Lansbury, Tyne Daly, Bernadette Peters, and Patti LuPone. Imelda Staunton is currently starring as Mama Rose on London's West End. 

The cast of Harbor Lights' Gypsy also includes Emmy Nominee Kathy Brier, Mimi Quillin, Patti Mariano, Michael Marotta, Heidi Friese, Anthony Johnson, and Samantha Bruce as Gypsy Rose Lee.
