The New York radio station WBAI (99.5 FM) will present a tribute to George Gershwin on July 17 from 9 PM to 11 PM EST. The broadcast will feature performances by Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, Jane Froman, Bob Dylan, Susannah Mccorkle, Louis Armstong, Nina Simone Fred Astaire, Mary Cleere Haran, Charles Cermele and an interview with Phillip Furia, author of "Ira Gershwin: The Art of the Lyricist."
The station will continue its dedication to theatre music with a July 14 tribute to Jerome Kern and a July 28 tribute to the late Rosemary Clooney.
