He was the first Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She has played Christine Daae' more times than any other actress in Webber & Richard Stilgoe's Phantom Of The Opera. Together, Bill Hutton and Dale Kristien will do a concert, Jan. 25, celebrating "Broadway Melodies." At the Plummer Auditorium gig in Fullerton, CA, Kristien and Hutton will perform solos and duets from such musicals as Show Boat, On The Town, Kismet, Jesus Christ Superstar and West Side Story.

Kristien has appeared as Christine Daae' in both Broadway and Los Angeles Phantom productions, racking up more than 1,700 performances in L.A. alone. She also played opposite Donald O'Connor in Show Boat and both Richard Burton and Richard Harris in Camelot. Her new, debut CD is titled "Beauty On Broadway."

Hutton, Tony nominated for Joseph, repeated the role in the national tour and the original cast recording. He was nominated for an L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award for his work in In Trousers and appeared in such productions as Blame It On The Movies and The Gay `90s Musical.

David Galligan directs Broadway Melodies, with music direction by Ron Abel. The concert is part of California State University's Professional Artists In Residence Celebrity Series.
