Multi-talented actress/writer Lauren Weedman has created the autobiographical one-woman show Homecoming, which will be Seattle Repertory Theatre's Mobile Outreach Bunch touring show for this year, as well as play public performances in Seattle as part of the Seattle Fringe Festival.

Among the roles Weedman essays in the tale of her search for her birth mother are her adopted Mom, her bossy sister, her aging Grandma, and her boyfriend, switching from one character to another rapidly.

Seattle Rep's Artist-in-Residence Ted Sod, directs Homecoming, and has incorporated slide and video projections into the production.

The public performances, as part of the Seattle Fringe Festival are Mar 13, 14, 20, 21 at the Coastal Kitchen Theater at the Underground Theatre. For show times (which vary each day) and ticket information, call (206) 322-2018.

The tour, which plays to high schools all over the state, offering many students their first taste of live theatre, begins Mar. 6 and concludes Apr. 10. -- By David-Edward Hughes
