The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District have issued additional traffic advisories for the theatre district this coming weekend. On Sat., April 8 at 3 PM, the Dance Liberation Front, which seeks to abolish New York’s "cabaret laws" will hold a demonstration at Seventh Avenue and West 41st Street. The NYPD estimates that two to three hundred people will participate in the demonstration.
On Sat. April 8 and/or Sun. April 9, from 8 AM - 6 PM, West 48th Street between Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue will be closed during crane operations. Local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.
Theatre patrons may wish to adjust their plans accordingly.
