News Wendy Wasserstein Part of Makor's Mixed Stage Mondays Tony Award winner Wendy Wasserstein will be among the playwrights taking part in Mixed Stage Mondays: The Festival of 'Wrights next month at Makor.

Mixed Stage Mondays is part of The Makor Theater Project, a program of the 92nd Street Y. The series will feature interviews with playwrights, readings of their works as well as performances by the comedy improv troupe Littleman. Show time each Monday evening is 7:30 PM.

The program kicks off Monday, July 7 with "Romance and Desire," featuring plays by Nina Shengold, Eric Lane and David Smilow. The July 14 evening is entitled "Travel" and will include works by Elizabeth Swados and Dmitry Lipkin.

On July 21 the series boasts an interview with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, who will discuss her theatrical career, which includes such plays as The Heidi Chronicles, The Sisters Rosensweig and An American Daughter. Plays by Laura Shaine Cunningham and Daniel Gallant will be read July 28 in an evening titled "Family," and the Aug. 4 evening — "Food" — will include improvisational comedy by Littleman.

Plays by Catherine Filloux, Jason Grote and Greg Correll comprise "Leisure Time" Aug. 11, and works by Clay McLeod Chapman and Cheri Magid will be part of the Aug. 18 evening, "Fantasy and Dreams." The series concludes Aug. 25 with another evening of comedy from Littleman. Daniel Gallant is curator for the entire series.
