News West End Fame Extends Run Fame continues to be a hit at the Aldwych, and has just announced an extension of its run there. It is now booking to Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004. All prices and group rates will be the same as for the new booking period, commencing April 28, 2003.

The musical was a hit film and then a hugely popular television series in the 1970’s. The current production was staged at the Victoria Palace from Oct. 2000 to Sept. 2001, at the Cambridge from Sept. 2001 to Aug. 2002, and opened at the Aldwych on Sept. 4, 2002. The musical follows a group of students over their four years at the New York School for Performing Arts, as they aim for stardom — and Fame. Fame hits the right note thanks to David de Silva's original idea, the music of Steven Margoshes and the lyrics of Jacques Levy.
