McGregor (whose films include “Train Spotting,” “Moulin Rouge” and two “Star Wars” movies) and Krakowski (best known from television’s “Ally McBeal”) opened in Frank Loesser’s musical on June 1 of this year.

Harman and Lancashire were both propelled to national fame in Britain while appearing in television soap operas: Harman in the BBC’s “EastEnders” and Lancashire in ITV’s “Coronation Street.”

Both performers have a strong stage pedigree, however, with Harman’s theatrical and musical resume including Mamma Mia! and Grandage’s 2001 Donmar production of Privates on Parade.

Lancashire’s television career has been recognized with a string of awards including the Golden Nymph Award for Best Actress in a Miniseries at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Onstage her roles include Linda in Blood Brothers, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and the title role in Educating Rita.

The cast change also sees Nigel Lindsay replacing Douglas Hodge as Nathan Detroit. Lindsay’s stage credits include The Pillowman, Dealer’s Choice and the Donmar’s The Real Thing, which transferred to both the West End and Broadway. Jenna Russell will continue in the role of Sarah Brown. The production represents just one of a series of successes in 2005 for Grandage, who recently picked up two Evening Standard Best Director awards for his revival of Schiller’s Don Carlos and a Donmar stage adaptation of Vicki Baum’s 1920s novel Grand Hotel.
