News West End Transfer of Scottsboro Boys to Feature Broadway's Brandon Victor Dixon, Colman Domingo and More The West End transfer of John Kander and Fred Ebb's The Scottsboro Boys to the Garrick Theatre, where it begins performances Oct. 4 prior to an official opening Oct. 20, is to newly feature Broadway's Brandon Victor Dixon; fellow American cast members returning from the Young Vic are Colman Domingo, Forrest McClendon and James T. Lane.

Also in the cast are British actors Julian Glover, reprising his role as The Interlocutor, appearing alongside Dawn Hope, Dex Lee, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, Richard Pitt, Emile Ruddock and Carl Spencer. Further casting is still to be announced.

Dixon, who is currently playing Berry Gordy in Motown the Musical, will return to the role of Haywood Patterson that he originated in the first U.S. production of the show at Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre in 2010.

Domingo and McClendon, both of whom were nominated for the Tony for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for the show's original Broadway run, will respectively reprise their roles as Mr. Bones and Mr. Tambo. Domingo was also Olivier-nominated for his performance at the Young Vic. Lane will reprise his role as Ozie Powell.

The Scottsboro Boys has music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson and direction and choreography by Susan Stroman. The production features set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Paul Arditti, orchestrations by Larry Hochman and casting by Jill Green.
