News West End's From Here to Eternity to Shutter at Shaftesbury Theatre The world premiere production of Tim Rice, Stuart Brayson and Bill Oakes's musical From Here to Eternity, based on James Jones's 1951 debut novel that's best known for the 1953 Oscar-winning film that starred Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, Montgomery Clift, Ernest Borgnine, Deborah Kerr and Donna Reed, will close March 29 at the West End's Shaftesbury Theatre.



The show will have run for six months, having begun performances Sept. 30 prior to an official opening Oct. 23.

The cast is led by Darius Campbell as Warden, Robert Lonsdale as Prewitt, Ryan Sampson as Maggie, Siubhan Harrison as Lorene and Rebecca Thornill as Karen.

It is directed by Tamara Harvey, designed by Soutra Gilmour and choreographed by Javier de Frutos. It is produced by Tim Rice and Lee Menzies for Eternity Productions Limited.
