Over the next 12 to 24 months, TodayTix aims to roll out the technology across other venues in the West End.
Upon purchasing a ticket through the TodayTix mobile ticketing app, the customer will receive a unique barcode image on his or her smart phone. The theatre will then scan that barcode straight from the mobile device, without the need to print or collect a paper ticket.
The TodayTix app is available for download free of charge for iOS and Android devices via the Apple Store and Google Play.
